All Early Voting Judges and Clerks are required to attend an online training class. If you are working Early Voting AND Election Day, you do not have to take training twice. After Early Voting ends, you will receive information on the few differences between Early Voting and Election Day.
All Election Day Judges are required to attend an online training class and additionally attend a short in-person training to familiarize you with the new voting equipment. Due to the COVID threat level in Harris County, classes will be limited to 8 attendees, and masks are required. In-person training is provided to allow all Election Day judges the opportunity to assemble the equipment, run reports, and gain hands-on experience with the new voting system.
To help ensure the health and safety of Harris County election workers, all Early Voting and Election Day classes are delivered through the website ZOOM.US as webinars. Taught by live instructors with real time question/answer sessions, classes offer a thorough coverage of procedures as well as an interactive experience to enhance learning, all from the safety of your home.
Election workers are provided with handouts of the training slides as well as manuals for every class.
